Jeez. So many things have happened that I don't even know where to start. This is why people post daily. :|

Anyway, I'm going to try to sleep now. Good night.
Haha. Hiatus over...I hope.

It's 12 midnight...of Halloween. OH NOEES. :))

Both my siblings are on sem break. Oh well. Atleast half day tomorrow. Unlike my beloved law-abiding friends, I am going to school tomorrow, because my parents won't let me miss school. I find it so amusing that Sam's parents won't let her go to school, while my mine wouldn't even hear my reasons on why I can not go to school tomorrow.

I spent my night doing the STR spreadsheet with the mean deviations, etc. for Strontium, proving Heron's formula and doing what was left of the pair seatwork in math. YES. I shall be a better student from now on.

I hope I'm able to go trick or treating with Joe and company tomorrow.
*crosses fingers*

Happy Halloween!
:D

Before the school year, I made resolutions. I promised myself I'd do a follow-up in the middle of the year to check if I had been a good student.

Here it goes:
1. I will take decent notes. -- 3.00
SCREW NOTES. =)) SHIT.

2. I will read my english novels waaaaaaay before the test date. --1.50
I finished Kitchen God's Wife relatively early. :> Siddharta din. It's not like I started reading in advanced, it's just that I improved from last year's futile attempts to finish the books early.

3. I will not use my money to pay for group/class stuff. --5.00
MAY UTANG PA SAKIN SR FOR STUFF. :| AND I PAID FOR A LOT OF STUFF SA RAMAYANA.

4. I will not cram everything. -- 5.00
FAIIIILUUUURE. :|

5. I will lessen my telebabad time. -- 2.00
I don't talk on the phone a lot anymore, pero nakakahinder pa rin siya sometimes. :))

6. I will join clubs. -- 1.00
I never said anything about being active. Join lang naman eh =))

7. I will sign up for my desired elective ASAP. -- 1.25
As some of you may know, I had a traumatic elective experience during the first quarter. Haha. I'm happy in PopLaw now. :)

8. I will get a kick-ass Math4 grade. -- 1.75
1.75. :) Kaya pa nga sana mag 1.5 eh. Pero nooooo. Konti pa raw sabi ni Ma'am de Joya. Proud ako rito. :D

9. I will help make Sr's Ramayana a success. -- 1.00
Uno kami kay Ma'am Bernal.

10. Sam and I will do our best in STR. -- 1.25
It's Sam, Rainier and I a.k.a. The Orange Group now. Matataas naman submissions namin. 1.25 kami ni Sam. :D

11. Less food, more work. -- 4.00
EPIC FAIL.
MUST LOSE WEIGHT FOR ARRIELE.

12. I will get to know/ befriend more people. --2.00
Wala pa rin akong lowerclassmen friends na nadagdag.

13. I will take good care of my books, notebooks and school supplies. -- 1.75
So-so.

14. I will not let Pisay take over my life. --
1.75
Eh. Medyo inevitable, unless magpabaya ako. :))

15. I will be in the DL. -- 1.00
YEY.

AVERAGE: 2.166

Say it with me.

KAAAY. Bye now.

P.S. Astig ng episodes ng GG and OTH this week. :D

The fire caused more damage than I thought it did. :|

NO SHB CLASSROOMS!

The "solution"?

-Violating the ASTB's capacity and holding classes in places i.e. The Gym, The Dorms and the Grandstand. Sobrang WTF. Very conducive to learning. Great job, fire.

I know it's unscholarly (damn i hate that word) to complain, rant and shit, but UGGGGGGH kakainis talaga. If the building fails the tests DPWH conducts, we have to live like this for the rest of the school year.

Joy. :|

The retreat was awesome. At first, I had my doubts on whether it would turn out to be spiritually/emotionally touching. But after confessing (using that Opus Dei pamphlet), having a one on one talk with Kuya Facilitator and Palanca Night, I must say -- retreat was, for lack of a Non-Ynigo term, beautiful.

I'd rather not exhaust myself further right now, so I won't narrate the events...for now (or ever). Haha. Basta. I'm going to try to be a better person from now on.

EDIT: RETREAT PHOTOS ARE NOW POSTED IN MY MULTIPLY

I wouldn't be surprised f you had read the title and had gone all WTF. Srsly. That was how I reacted when I first heard the term.

Six-Sing - Six students who will be going to Singapore on January to participate in the Hwa Chong Institution- PSHS exchange program. A.K.A. Neon Antonio, Gian Dapul, Mika Perlada, Nico Reyes, Juan Senga and Tutti Tanchuling.

Get it, get it? :> :> :> Don't blame me. It was Ma'am Bawagan who coined the term. I'm just being a bitch obedient.

Moving on...

We, Six-Sing, had a mini field trip today. We familiarized ourselves with the places where we are to bring the Singaporeans when they arrive on November. Our first stop was Bantayog ng mga Bayani. The exhibits were pretty cool, actually. I was really interested to learn more about Martial Law. Oh, and Ma'am Bawagan shared a big secret of hers. Super shocking. O: After that, we went to the Jorge Vargas museum in UP that housed a few of Amorsolo's works. An interesting part of the exhibit was the origami section, which contained a step by step guide on how to make paper cranes. Nico fail. :| 'Nuff said. UGH.

We dropped by McDo after, then went back to Pisay. Because Renz had to take so long, I decided to try something I've never done before....commute home--alone. :O It took me two jeepney rides, one tricycle ride, lots of walking and 26 pesos to reach my house. I was so proud of myself. I even took pictures, despite the possibility of getting mugged. Feeling ko kasi walang maniniwala eh. =))

I felt so accomplished as I rang the dorbell. So. Yeah. Be proud of me.

Nico-Sam-Arriele Reunion today.
[Haha. I shall not expound. ]

I woke up at 10:00 AM today, and left the house at around 10:30. At about 11, I was already at Sam's house with what Edlen claims to be the best chicken fingers she has ever tasted. Good job, Mom. When I arrived, Big Edlen was still dead asleep. Too bad she banned Samantha from letting me in their room. I missed one BIG photo-op.

I shall narrate in bullets, as not to force myself to be coherent. I am sleepy. :|

Grabe. Today was so fun. What a way to make up for lost time. I love you guys. :)

...you too, Edlen.

No. This post has nothing to do with Australia. By down under, I mean deep deep deep down -- hell. This has been the worst perio week by far. Imagine the stress of hell and perio weeks consolidated into one big ball of stress. OH THE PAIN. :| The last day of exams is usually really relieving because by the end of the day, all the stress is gone. Imagine this-- just after you have taken seven mentally tormenting exams, you have 3 Long Tests to be taken, 3 poems to be written and a baby book to be made within the next two days. GAAAAAAAAAAHD. I should have taken advantage of that long break. It's toooo laaaate. :|

Haaaaay. All this shall pass. By tomorrow (or the end of this day, rather), we have a one week break, which will be followed by torture again, but what the hell -- it's a break, nonetheless.

The only requirement I've enjoyed so far was the health baby book. Our baby's name is Blair Catherine B. Gates (BCBG). She's a fabulous little girl who studies in *drumroll please* Poveda. Haha. We used Suri Cruise's pictures. She is one fabulous baby, don't you think? Haha. Look at the post below to see the stuff I had to layout for our group's baby book.

I hate Biology.
No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to study the damn subject.

To make things worse--

It has more items than last quarter’s and is not solely multiple choice
-Ma'am Crisologo on the Bio 2, 2nd Qtr Perio

I died. :|

Shit talaga. Screw bio.

Friday, October 3, 2008

WOW. I've been so unproductive over the break. :)

Today, we met with the administrators from the Hwa-Chong Institution. The meeting was funny, though I had difficulty understanding the principal's English. OH NOOOOOES. I'm scared. What if most of them speak that way? They're going to think I'm retarded, because I'd probably end up nodding to every single thing they say. LOL. Singapore English = Singlish (Eusebio, 2008).

After the intruductions and contract singing, we gave them a tour of the dorms. Yey me. Nafulfill ko na rin ung life long dream ko na makapasok sa dorm. I saw Isa's room. :)) Grabe, ang linis ng banyo ng GRHM. I wasn't able to see the BRHM anymore because the driver had to fetch Renz from Ateneo na. Oh well. I am so going to the open house next year.

Before he went to Ateneo, I made Kuya Dindo drop me off at TriNoma because I had to buy our gift for Mommy Je. It took me so long to choose, dammit. I went home, then went back to TriNoma for the dinner thingy at Heaven n' Eggs. I had Fillet Mignon, and shared Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham. GRABE. Ang saraaaap. Shit. Green eggs rule. =)) Kailangan ko magshare ng picture--
I know it looks gross, but shiiiiiiiiiiiiit -- I could get a room with this. Or maybe not. =)) Yuck. Green egg-fetish. =)) :-&

Moving on...

It's so cool that the third years have afternoon exams this quarter. And Strontium gets the ASTB AVR to boot. :> :> :> I think the school's starting to like us na. :> :> :>

Haha. Enough slacking.
*GOOD STUDENT MODE -- ON*

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Ah crap. I have to study for exams and cram all my requirements due this week.

...oh wait.

I DON'T.
*insert Hallelujah chorus here*

Who's not going to school this week?
ME.
Who doesn't have to take the Bio perio for another week?
ME.
Whose Bio presentation isn't due today?
MINE.
Who gets a six day weekend?
ME.
Whose second quarter agony has just been prolonged?
UGH. :))

But what the effin hell. I don't give a damn (Kawashima, 2008). Six days of school-less-ness -- who am I to complain?

WOOOT WOOOT!
=)) Never thought I'd ever say that again.

No. I am not talking about Strontium's SiGaw song about Peace.

Classes were suspended today because there was a fire on the second floor of the SHB. Oh man. Call me shocked. They say that the fire started at the faculty center. When I read Gaby's message this morning, I was beyond disbelief. Shiiiit. Sobrang WOAH. Srsly. :| :| :|

God works in mysterious ways, indeed. I was hoping for something that would keep me awake as I was studying, but this was NOT what I had in mind. Coffee definitely would have sufficed.

This is BAD. I mean, I usually rejoice when classes are suspended, but THE AGOOOOONY HAS BEEN PROLONGED AGAIN. Shit talaga. It's bad enough that we have 3 LT's and godknowshowmany projects due after perio week. So paano yan? Perio on Saturday? On Monday? OH THE HORROR. My only consolation would be if the CISD sticks to the original schedule and push through with the Chem and English exams when we go to school on Thursday. Sayang naman ung inaral ng mga tao, diba? LOL. Call me selfish, but ayoko talaga magbio exams. Feeling ko I'd much rather read the Kitchen God's Wife all over again than study for Bio 2. Gaaaahd. I hate Bio. Speaking of the devil, my group hasn't done the presentation thingy which is supposedly due today. May benefits din pala from today's suspension of classes.

WOAH. Andaming online at 6 AM. Everyone must still be in awe. Oh well. I hope whatever was by the fire gets fixed soon. I hope no one got hurt.

Perio tomorrow. Joy. Anyway, I'm here at the library with Diane. She's reading The Kitchen God's Wife (which I finished yesterday. Yey me!), and I'm here...blogging. LOL.

Moving on--
Perio weeks always suck, but this one sucks in particular because the suffering doesn't end after the last perio. The teachers moved so many requirements and tests to next week. How motivating, right? I usually endure all the studying because I know all the suffering's bound to end after the last exam. How can I be inspired to study knowing that after 6 periodic tests are 3 Long Tests and loooooots of projects due? Screw requirements. Screw third year. Screw Pisay. Screw life.

Chem's at 3:20. WTF am I going to do for two hours. Maybe I'll just take a nap...in the library. Or study vocabs. Or look for my missing chem notebook. Who knows?

That's all for now. Ciao. :)

P.S. Wen Fu's THE devil. He deserves to rot in hell.

Sunday, September 28, 2008

I feel so accomplished. I'm done with The Kitchen God's Wife. Grabe -- no TV, no laptop, no iPod. All I've done so far was eat, sleep, sleep and read. I probably would have finished faster if I didn't have so many stretching breaks in between. I'm just so happy right now. I haven't accomplished a goal/deadline I set for myself for a very long time now. I was just so determined to finish the book, and I did.

I don't know if this is weird, but I wasn't bored with the book. It was actually an easy read. I found myself gasping silently each time a revelation had occured. GRABE. I don't want to spoil, though. All I can say is that Wen Fu is a dick and he should rot in hell. I think this was the first time I felt sorry for a book character. It was as if I shared Winnie's struggles. Yuck. Na-feel masyado ung book. =))

I have nothing to blog about because my weekend so far has been the complete opposite of eventful. Oh well. At least I'm being a good student. I shall now continue this responsiboy streak by doing my STR RRL which is due at 8PM. I have to read in the 6 PM mass, eh. :))

Friday, September 26, 2008

This quarter's hell week didn't really seem like hell to me. I think it's because everything's due after perio week and that's going to be hell week. Prolonged suffering...joy.

Anyway, I'm just glad that another school week is over. REEEEECAAAAAP.

Monday-- We had flag cem in class. MG would've made Ma'am Tiburcio so proud. In STR, we had a fairly entertaining powerpoint presentation on powerpoint presentations. We played the Filipino version of Rugby/Football in PE, and it was really fun in a not so painless way. Cueto was injured baaad and Gaby was gang raped :O

Tuesday-- 9/10 in a math quiz. :> :> :> Oh and I did elocution. It turned out fine, but I wish Ma'am gave me a better piece. I felt so limited eh. :| She gave me an uno, but still no self-fulfillment. NO HOMEWORK DAY.

Wednesday -- We discussed our baby book project in health. Our baby's name is Blair Catherine B. Ghirleau. She's really healthy and her first word is "Blair." She's going to be a bitchy Povedan. :)) Diane and I were partners in Physics. She was OC, as usual. In PE, we facilitated Kadang-Kadang. It was really entertaining to watch MG, Castro and Marielle. The highlight of the game was when Sam's team won because Joe was chivalrous enough to let the love of his life win. :>:>:> NO HOMEWORK DAY 2.0! (Hell week????)

Thursday -- Chem practical test. I got minus 2 because of meniscus. I was stupid. Haha. Everything was going well, but two minutes before the time I realized that I used an Erlenmeyer instead of a volumetric flask. WOW. This day was bio struggle day.

Friday -- Who hates Joe Guevara? =)) =)) =)) LOL. Sampa bonding time during the break. Aww. I miss the Sampa high. My day was over by 2:30 because I was done with both elocution and the chem practest. I went home at 3:30 and did STR :| PANIRA.

Okay. My plan for the weekend is to read as much of The Kitchen God's Wife as I can and do everything before Sunday 6pm, but then again I'm Nico Reyes so there's a 10% chance of that happening.

Okay. Imma read now.

Thursday, September 25, 2008

My world is turns upside-down whenever I hear the phrase "bio long test." I'd much rather take a math, physics or chem LTs. Srsly. I've just never really taken an interest in biology because I find it ridiculously boring. I have an immune system and it protects my body from pathogens, dammit. Do I need to learn about freaking mast cells, perforins, MHC's and lymphocytes for my immune system to work? I find it very ironic and quite sad that I'm putting my immune system on the line by studying all night and not sleeping just to learn about it.

Being the type of person who can only do things with motivation and genuine interest, I STRUGGLE everytime I have to read Campbell. My tiny human brain can't take that much text and diagrams in one night. I also feel that Bio would be less painful and more tolerable if the teacher made it so-- I think that despite my utter dislike for the subject, I can live with it if I like the person teaching it. But the thing is, I don't. I know that's very unscholarly, but that's just the way it is. I haven't listened in class for about a month now, and my scores show that clearly. It pains me that I know I'm not doing my best, but it hurts more that I may never be motivated enough to do my best.

I'm about to hyperventilate. OH NO!!!! I'M GOING TO MAXIMIZE THE EXPOSURE OF MY RESPIRATORY SURFACE TO THE RESPIRATORY MEDIUM. :o

Campbell, here I come. /wrist

Saturday, September 20, 2008

I'm proud of myself for a lot of reasons -- (1) I caught up on sleep today. I woke up at 9, had breakfast, slept again and woke up at 1:30. (2) I survived pre-hell week. (3) I finished the chem prob set yesterday. (4) I was not late AT ALL this week. (5) I'm actually thinking about doing HW right now. LOL. Okay maybe not.

I'm going to memorize my elocution piece now. Ma'am Bernal's making me do Brutus' speech to the Romans after he led Caesar's assassination. Here -- read it. :))

BRUTUS
Be patient till the last.
Romans, countrymen, and lovers! hear me for my
cause, and be silent, that you may hear: believe me
for mine honour, and have respect to mine honour, that
you may believe: censure me in your wisdom, and
awake your senses, that you may the better judge.
If there be any in this assembly, any dear friend of
Caesar's, to him I say, that Brutus' love to Caesar
was no less than his. If then that friend demand
why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer:
--Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved
Rome more. Had you rather Caesar were living and
die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live
all free men? As Caesar loved me, I weep for him;
as he was fortunate, I rejoice at it; as he was
valiant, I honour him: but, as he was ambitious, I
slew him. There is tears for his love; joy for his
fortune; honour for his valour; and death for his
ambition. Who is here so base that would be a
bondman? If any, speak; for him have I offended.
Who is here so rude that would not be a Roman? If
any, speak; for him have I offended. Who is here so
vile that will not love his country? If any, speak;
for him have I offended. I pause for a reply.
All None, Brutus, none.
BRUTUS Then none have I offended. I have done no more to
Caesar than you shall do to Brutus. The question of
his death is enrolled in the Capitol; his glory not
extenuated, wherein he was worthy, nor his offences
enforced, for which he suffered death.
Enter ANTONY and others, with CAESAR's body
Here comes his body, mourned by Mark Antony: who,
though he had no hand in his death, shall receive
the benefit of his dying, a place in the
commonwealth; as which of you shall not? With this
I depart,--that, as I slew my best lover for the
good of Rome, I have the same dagger for myself,
when it shall please my country to need my death.
All Live, Brutus! live, live!

Long live Brutus. :)

It's 5:44 AM. I've been up since 4:20 because I slept at 7:30. Boy, my body clock is so messed up. So anyway, I'm downloading iTunes 8 so I can install the iPod 2.1 software for Damian's and my iPod. This is taking forever, and my stupid hard drive has too much junk in it so this thing won't damn install. :|

On a lighter note, today is the RUBY2010 REUNION! :) EK, here we come! It's really cool that 29 of us (including JC) are going. I really hope Susme's mom changes her mind so all 30 of us can come. Our reunion doubles as an acquaintance party with Ruby 2010. Hopefully, the presence of 2012 people would end up uniting us 2010-ers. ;)) A reunion would be useless, after all, if we end up separating into our usual cliques.

I have high hopes for today.

I'm going to pack now.
Oh and I still have to install this damn software. :|

Bye. :))

This is in no way an emo post. I'm not joining that bandwagon.

Grabe. I feel so stupid right now. I feel that my grades are crap. I'm still terribly unmotivated and uninspired. I hate that it's always hard for me to "gain momentum" after a break. Stupid humanities week. Parang because I slacked off so much this week, I am somehow behind in every subject, either mastering the lesson-wise or requirements-wise. And my GC-ness isn't making things any better.

Perio is in two weeks, according to Sam. I really have to get my ass to work and pull myself together. Either that or....bye, DL.

...Must be responsible.
Say it with me.

Spontaneous Idealists are creative, lively and open-minded persons. They are humorous and dispose of a contagious zest for life. Their enthusiasm and sparkling energy inspires others and sweeps them along. They enjoy being together with other people and often have an uncanny intuition for their motivations and potential. Spontaneous Idealists are masters of communication and very amusing and gifted entertainers. Fun and variety are guaranteed when they are around. However, they are sometimes somewhat too impulsive in dealing with others and can hurt people without really meaning to do so, due to their direct and sometimes critical nature.Spontaneous Idealist

This personality type is a keen and alert observer; they miss nothing which is going on around them. In extreme cases, they tend to be oversensitive and exaggeratedly alert and are inwardly always ready to jump. Life for them is an exciting drama full of emotionality. However, they quickly become bored when things repeat themselves and too much detailed work and care is required. Their creativity, their imaginativeness and their originality become most noticeable when developing new projects and ideas - they then leave the meticulous implementation of the whole to others. On the whole, Spontaneous Idealists attach great value to their inner and outward independence and do not like accepting a subordinate role. They therefore have problems with hierarchies and authorities.

If you have a Spontaneous Idealist as your friend, you will never be bored; with them, you can enjoy life to the full and celebrate the best parties. At the same time, they are warm, sensitive, attentive and always willing to help. If Spontaneous Idealists have just fallen in love, the sky is full of violins and their new partners are showered with attention and affection. This type then bubbles over with charm, tenderness and imagination. But, unfortunately, it soon becomes boring for them once the novelty has worn off. Boring everyday life in a partnership is not for them so that many Spontaneous Idealists slip from one affair into another. However, should the partner manage to keep their curiosity alive and not let routine and familiarity gain the upper hand, Spontaneous Idealists can be inspiring and loving partners.

Adjectives which describe your type

spontaneous, enthusiastic, idealistic, extroverted, theoretical, emotional, relaxed, friendly, optimistic, charming, helpful, independent, individualistic, creative, dynamic, lively, humorous, full of zest for life, imaginative, changeable, adaptable, loyal, sensitive, inspiring, sociable, communicative, erratic, curious, open, vulnerable

These subjects could interest you

literature, art, music, parties, concerts, travel, dancing, eating out, joint pleasure

Joint pleasure?! =))

This is so cool. Most of the stuff above is true. Keziah and I have the same personality type. :> :> :> Soulmate! :))

Newton's first law of motion states that "An object at rest tends to stay at rest or in constant motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force."

For one week, I was that object at rest. Now, I am being acted upon by an external unbalanced force a.k.a. the resumption of classes. Like any other object, I am naturally inclined to resist change [INERTIAAAAA!].

HUMANITIES WEEK IS OVER. :| :| :|
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Back to learning, quizzes, long tests, homework and waking up early. :| :| :| How sad. But it's sadder that I'm actually expressing myself with Physics concepts. OH NOOO. I'm being brainwashed by Pisay! I'm a true-blooded Science Scholar! :| *gasps* :O

But seriously -- I feel so unmotivated. I don't want to learn. I want to bum around, and eat, and sleep and eat once more. I know that in a short while, I will once again be bombarded with tons of stuff to do. In a few days, school will be hell again, and sleep will be a thing of the past.

I hope a storm (that won't kill anyone) comes. That way, we get the best of both worlds. No classes and no casualties. Or... I wish that Pag-asa makes more (if that's still possible) erroneous weather forecasts. =))

Okay. I'm going to sleep now. Flag Cem tomorrow. I better not be late.

DIKUM DAY!

I came to school expecting nothing. Strontium has only had one "productive" practice, and our choreo was non-existent on the morning of the presentation. So, I gave up most (if not all) chances of winning. I just wanted to get it over with. An hour before the presentation, our choreo was still not finalized. At that point, I decided to let nature take its course. Instead of pressuring my classmates, I just let them have fun. Our class is good at that, after all.
Little did I know that our innate gift of having too much fun (that drives our teachers crazy) would actually lead us to something positive. We bagged third place. :) We were all definitely surprised since we were expecting last place. Our presentation was totally crammed after all. Looking back, I think we placed because (a) the judges appreciated our energy/enthusiasm on stage (b) despite the fact that our instruments were purely percussion and had no melody, our instruments were the most unique (LOL typewriter...high heels...sand paper) (c) our blocking/arrangement on stage really set us apart. I think we underestimated ourselves too much.

The presentations were good in general. Cesium's (1st place) costumes were very well thought of, and the melody of their instruments was awesome. Rubidium's (2nd place) vocals were fantastic. They are definitely Paskorus material. :) Congrats to those two sections! Sodium's instruments rocked. They definitely deserved to place. Lithium's presentation was cute also. It screamed LEAN QUINIO. I'm proud of our batch for pulling off Dikum well despite the short period of time given to us. :)

Today was the Alumni Concert thingy. We volunteered to be Production Assistants (PA), but to some of the Alumni (ehem S****): Production Assistant = Slave. Haha. Despite being abused and underfed, (:| 70 pesos per person :|) most of the night was spent laughing at our PA fails. We laughed at Sam fails, too! After 3+ hours of carrying the rostrum, moving around music and mic stands around, throwing balloons and being enslaved by the Alumni, it was finally time to go home.

I'm ecstatic that Dikum's over. I can now enjoy Humanities week. I am finally stress-free (for now, at least.) Woooooohoo. I shall sleep now. I'm going to school at 9AM tomorrow, and no one can stop me. :)) Why? Because I'm a rebel. :))

I'm going to join the bandwagon and rant about the humanities week. :))

Because I had too much fun downloading applications on my iPod which just got a software upgrade (iPhone 2.0.2) thanks to my beloved soul mate Damian, I slept at three AM and woke up at 7:45 this morning. I took my time getting ready, and arrived in school at around 9. Since I didn't want to wear my huge orange shirt, I came to school in my "Mr. Mahiyain" shirt which was noticed by so many people probably because they agreed so much. When I arrived, everyone was at the field, exposed to the scorching heat of the sun. I did not get a very warm welcome because (a) everyone was pissed at the heat (b) I'm such a rebel. LOL. I find it so inhumane that the student body had to stay under the sun, while the faculty was seated comfortably in the grandstand. Some humanitarian way to celebrate humanities week, don't you think? After the opening ceremony was the pre-talent show where the aspirants advertised themselves to the student body. Watching made me realize how lucky Andie and I are for being able to back out. Elections (or anything that involves voting for that matter) are very traumatizing in Pisay. Anyway, the performers were very entertaining to watch. Watching that pre-telent show was like watching American Idol auditions. Most were horrifying (I won't mention which na. We all know who they were. ) The band that had no vocals (the one that played the oldschool song) was pretty good. And Isabel Serrano was just fantastic. She sang while playing the keyboad ala David Archuleta and Brooke White. In fact, she was so good that I'm going to use this opportunity to do some shameless plugging.

VOTE FOR ISABEL SERRANO. :D

Moving on...

After the pre-talent show, they gave as a "break". Then, we had the games. I didn't play anything because (a) I wasn't in orange (b) Damian, Anton, et al. were really into the games that we just let them play everything. The only thing I remember about this time of the day was when I got my first taste of ultimate Strontium bullying. el Anton, MG, Castro, etc. grabbed both my legs, carried me and put me in a very very awkard pose wherein my crotch was just there for anyone to kick (or in Franco's case harass.) The experience was, err, one of a kind and pretty fun, if you ask me. The only part that was not so enjoyable was Franco's attempted rape. =))

Next was essay-writing. (YEY. Sampa friends reunion.) The topic was: "How do conflicts among batches hinder school unity? How can these be resolved? " If you know me at all, you could immediately conclude that I am not the person who should be answering a question like that. Srsly.

After school, Arriele, Sam, Cam, Gaby, Elvis, TJ, Joaq, Joe and I left Pisay to go to the PETA Theatre for the PSHS Alumni Show's TDR. We were to be ushers and production assistants. All 8 of us (9 including the driver) rode in Joaq's car which was meant for only 5 people. So we could fit, Arriele had to sit on my lap, Cam on Sam's and Gaby on Joe's. TJ just sad there squished and Elvis laid with the bags at the back. LOL. Some anecdotes:

  1. The car ride was very very surprising.
  2. Sam was assigned to be food girl and had to order foor for 40 people. She was also made to do errands and order some more. In short, Sam was the Alumni's bitch. =))
  3. Joaq and Joe battled it out for Sam's love. Joaq is leading as of now because baldness runs in Joe's family.
  4. There was free mediocre porn. :| :| :| =)) =)) =))
  5. As I watched the alumni interact, I suddenly wondered -- When we have a reunion 20 years from now, will we still be divided or will we just be happy to see each other? Will we have intrabatch marriages (like Joe's parents)? Who will perform? How will MG look like then? =))
I got home from the thingy at around 10 already.

Wooow. This is my longest post to date. Achievement!

P.S. Dikum is currently on top of my "to worry about" list. GRRR.
P.P.S. I'm part of the ACLE Task Force. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Kapayapaan...
Higit sa'kin, higit sa'yo
Sa sarili natin
Nagsisimula ito....

Practice is over, but our dikum song is still stuck in my head. Weeee.

Anyway, practice was super fun today. We were as productive as we usually were (meaning not productive at all) during the first 2 hours, but when I used lunch as motivation, we finally started working. In about 2 hours, we went from sounding like dying animals to actually sounding decent. I'm proud of Sr.

We still need to do choreo and staging, but at least we have something now. We're probably going to end up cramming so many things like we did in Ramayana, but I have faith in my class. Some may be rowdy during practices, but on stage, I know they mean business. (LOL) I'm more concerened about maxmimizing Strontium's potential than winning. And that's a lot coming from someone so competitive. :)))

I'll post pics later. :)

P.S. WTF THERE'S A FILIPINO VERSION OF GOSSIP GIRL. :| :| LIPGLOSS. WTF. WTF. WTF.
